Numerous dynasties have succeeded each other in Karnataka shaping a major historical heritage in southern India, including an absolute jewel, Hampi, the capital of the Vijayanagara in the 15th century. Hampi. A magical place, incredible, unbelivable, in short, not to be missed! The ancient capital of an empire and a dynasty, the Vijayanagara, who dominated southern India for many centuries, developed arts and culture that can be seen in the beautiful remains of the area.

A landscape of shattered boulders strewn with ancient temples and palaces amid well-cultivated small fields and criss-crossed by a holy river. You will not be disappointed to spend at least 3 nights there as getting in and out of there is time consuming.

Mysore so charming! Capital of the very powerful Vodeyars dynasty from the 14th to the 20th century (with some interruptions), this city has kept its privacy and managed to maintain its historical and cultural heritage. Tipu Sultan, the Mysore Tiger, who reigned in the 18th century, is one of the major figures in Indian history.

Karnataka is also a very green state, rich of it many natural parks and plantations in the hills and mountains in the west. Kabini, Ooty, Chikmagalur are some of the paradises for nature and wildlife lovers.
