Coorg offers a fascinating past, captivating natural beauty, great cuisine and aromas of the coffee plantations, oranges and honey. Mysore was the political capital of the Wodeyar family that ruled the state of Karnataka for some 150 years until independence from British rule. These kings were great patrons of art and culture and Mysore was the cultural capital of the south under the rule of the Wodeyars. Day 1 : Arrival BANGALORE

After breakfast proceed on a sightseeing tour of Bangalore city. Visit the Tipu Palace followed by the Bull Temple and finally Lalbagh.
Tipu Sultan’s Palace, dating from about 1790. Made mostly out of wood with finely embellished balconies, Pillars and arches this two-storeyed structure, a replica of the Daria Daulat Bagh in Srirangapattana served as a summer retreat of Tipu sultan. While the palace retains the original elegant teak pillars, most of the painted decorations have been destroyed.
Lalbagh Botanical – Regarded as one of the most richly diverse Botanical Garden’s in South Asia. Lalbagh in the Southern part of the city, was laid out by Haider Ali in 1740. Spread over 240 acres of parkland, many of its tropical plants were brought here by Haider Ali’s son Tipu Sultan. Surrounded by champaka trees and pencil cedars, the Glass House has played host to several visiting dignitaries.

Day 4 : BANGALORE / CHIKMAGALUR (6 hours drive)

After breakfast drive to Chikmagalur. En route stop at Sravanabelagola (Optional activity as one has to climb 600 steps to get here). The huge statue was commissioned during the 10th century and was carved out of a single block of stone and is regarded as one of the largest monolithic statues in the world.
On arrival check into your hotel. Evening at leisure and overnight in Chikmagalur.
Day 5 : Explore CHIKMAGALUR

Day 6 : CHIKMAGALUR / COORG (3h30 drive) En route visit Belur and Halebid

This morning drive to Coorg and enroute visit the temples at Halebid & Belur. In the 16th century, Belur-Halebid (both towns are spoken of in the same breath) were at the heart of the throbbing Hoysala Empire. The Hoysala were huge patrons of art and architecture and built massive temples that have survived the ravages of time. Some of the sculptures are so exotic, erotic and eloquent – that you expect them to speak or move.
Continue drive to Coorg the largest coffee growing area in the country. On arrival check-into your hotel.
Rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure. Overnight in Coorg.
Day 7 : COORG

After breakfast play golf at Coorg Golf Club which has 18-hole 72 par and 7100 yards long course Length 40 acres.
Later drive to the Namdroling Monastery dedicated to the teachings of Wisdom and Compassion of the Buddha.
Located amidst sandal groves, the monastery was established by his holiness PemaNorbu Rinpoche shortly after he came to India from Tibet. With only 300 rupees in his hand and a handful of monks, he laid the foundation stone of the main temple that covered only an area of 80 sq ft.
Overnight in Coorg.
Day 8 : COORG / MYSORE (5h drive)
Meals Included: Breakfast
After breakfast drive to Mysore and on arrival check-into your hotel. Rest of the afternoon will be at your leisure.
In the afternoon visit Mysore City Palace designed by an English Architect and completed in 1912. A part of the Palace is still occupied by the former Maharaja from the Wodeyar Family.
The drive will also include Chamundi Hill on the outskirts of Mysore, a famous landmark of the city.
Overnight in Mysore.
Day 9 : MYSORE

Play Golf at Jayachamaria Wadiyar ( JW) Golf Club which has 18-hole 72 par Length 110 acres.
In the afternoon visit Mysore City Palace, designed by an English Architect and completed in 1912. A part of the Palace is still occupied by the former Maharaja from the Wodeyar Family. Built in Indo-Sacracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades, the Palace is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world. The collection of stained glass, mirrors and intricately carved rosewood doors inlaid with ivory is magnificent
Overnight in Mysore.
Day 10 : MYSORE / EAGLETON (3h drive)

Early morning visit the fabulous Devaraja Fruit and Vegetable market for its colorful displays of fresh flowers and fruits.
Return to the hotel for Breakfast. Thereafter drive to Eagleton and en route stop at Srirangapatnam, the island fortress in the Kaveri River. On arrival check-into Eagleton Resort. Overnight.
Day 11 : EAGLETON

Morning play golf at Eagleton Golf Resortwhich is 18-hole 72 par and 7100 yards long course Length 60 acres. Rest of the day at leisure and enjoy the resort facilities. Overnight.
