DAY 1<\/strong>
\n– Arrival Delhi. On arrival at Indira Gandhi International airport terminal you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2<\/strong>
\nDelhi<\/strong>: Meals Included: Breakfast<\/p>\n

This morning after breakfast proceed on a colonial walk of New Delhi<\/strong>, a city that largely owes its present-day avatar to a man named Edwin Lutyens, a man best known for adapting traditional architecture to contemporary styles. Head towards the India Gate, <\/strong>a monument commemorating the deaths of over 70,000 Indian soldiers in the British Forces during the World War I. Older British buildings that were used as power hubs house today\u2019s Parliament <\/strong>and Secretariat<\/strong>.
\nThereafter immerse yourself in the heritage of India with a private Rickshaw tour of Old Delhi (closed on Sunday), <\/strong>a stronghold of the Mughal empire. Trail through the bustling markets of Chandni Chowk, pastmonuments of every faith, to experience the sacred yet secular way of life that is so typical of India.
\nLunch today will be at your discretion on direct payment.
\nAfter lunch we will drive to the Humayun\u2019s Tomb<\/strong> and step back into time, as we visit this 16th<\/sup> Century tomb built for the second Mughal emperor, Humayun. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, an older tomb of Inayat Khan, and a functioning masjid, the Humayun\u2019s tomb is a lovely relic from the past.<\/p>\n

\nJabalpur \u2013 Bandhavgarh by car<\/p>\n

Today you will be transferred to Delhi airport for your flight to Jabalpur.
\nOn arrival Jabalpur Airport you will meet your driver at the Jabalpur airport and commence your 4 hour drive to Bandhavgarh. Upon arrival check in at your wildlife lodge and relax.<\/p>\n

King\u2019s Lodge – Cottage<\/strong>\u00a0 : The Lodge is spread in a sprawling estate of 12 acres surrounded by Sal forested hills. It offers 4 cottages with large open verandas and 8 stilt rooms with a wooden balcony for stargazing. It is located near the heart of the forest, a ten minutes drive from the Tala gate of the national park, and offers a great natural ambience and tranquility.
\nBandhavgarh\u2019s 4 wildlife zones: Tala, Magdhi, Khitauli, and Panpatta on a jeep safari.<\/strong><\/p>\n

BANDHVAGARH, cradled amidst the picturesque hills of Central India, the renowned tiger reserve of Bandhavgarh was a former hunting ground for kings. If the thick bamboo forest and dense greenery with streams, rivers and waterfalls are not enchanting enough, the 1st Century fortress ruins and the rich biodiversity make Bandhavgarh a favorite for wild lifers and photographers alike.<\/p>\n

Early morning head out for your game drive with naturalist. The forest is just beautiful as it wakes up, sun lifting the mist of the surface and dew glistens on the dense foliage. This is an excellent time to watch predators coming home from a night hunt and the birdsong is like a symphony echoing through the woods.<\/p>\n

Kanha National Park<\/strong> A mixed forest bamboo and sal, of grassy meadows and winding ravines, Kanha National Park was one of the first areas in India to fall under the Project Tiger conservation program to save the Royal Bengal Tiger. Kanha boasts abundant mammal populations and diverse bird life, and it offers sanctuary for the endangered barasingha (12-horned) deer, the black buck, among others. The deep, dark jungles of Kanha inspired Rudyard Kipling\u2019s Jungle Book, and gave us a slew of immortal characters from Mowgli to Sher Khan, Bagheera to Baloo.<\/p>\n

Jamtara Wilderness Camp <\/strong> At the Pench National park\u2019s northern periphery lies the Jamtara Wilderness Camp, so named after a nearby village. The Jamtara Wilderness Camp is a luxury tented camp that strives to provide the perfect balance between a rustic, wilderness experience and a comfortable stay.

Pench National Park is named after a river that flows through the region, the Pench district hosts one among many patches of Central India\u2019s forests \u2013 and the Pench National Park is a corridor for wildlife across this diverse habitat of forest and grassland. The rich biodiversity of the area had been recorded in an ancient official document of the emperor Akbar, a Mughal ruler and the park continues to support large populations of herbivores, creating a favourable environment for carnivores \u2013 the most-sought after being the Royal Bengal Tiger. Forming a continuum with the Kanha forest, Rudyard Kipling\u2019s Jungle Book is often attributed to this jungle as well.<\/p>\n
